I only became a fan when the first movie was playing in theaters. I went to see it in November, unhappily, since a younger cousin had rented a theater for his birthday and cousins my age were going. I originally wasn't happy to be there but that quickly changed as I was hooked within the first few minutes.

Later that month I received the first 2 books for my birthday. After reading the first 2 books I purchased the other books available at the time, read them, and then bought the remaining books in the series as they became available. I still have the hardcover books on a bookshelf in my room. This box set was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the first book being released. I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn't see anything that I "had to have" until now.

This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom.

I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. What I'm not crazy about: -The box the books get stored in is made out of cardboard - not the most appealing way to store the books but the box looks great, is sturdy, and it should keep the books in good condition for years to come.

Defective printing and awful paper. Do not buy this! I recently read that Amazon sells pirated books because they don't check--they take the money no matter what they sell -- which means, not only are the prints not authorized--which is a legal issue, but for the consumer experience, it's detrimental as well.

This box set is printed on such coarse paper paper feels like industrial pulp , the ink becomes blurred and hard to read. Worse yet, I gave them to my daughter who is too young to know about print quality and thus never complained , and she had to squint through volumes of this crappy print that totally ruined her eyesight, before I realized what was going on.

Amazon--you need to do better than this! Beautiful covers and tough packaging. Bought these for my neices and nephews. I can read them but they are having trouble because the print on the pages. Several are blurry like this and book 1 currently in my neices possession has several pages with light spots down the middle and you can barely make out the words.

They keep bringing the books to us for help. Haven't been into the other 4 books yet. I imagine they will be similar. Absolutely gorgeous collectors set. This is an absolutely beautiful set of the original British version of Harry Potter from Bloomsbury publishers.

I took a chance ordering these as there was the single stock photo and no customer photos when I purchased these. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Both bar code scan and voice recognition makes cataloging a whiz! If it's in IMdb, it's in my catalog now. July 26, I'm so glad I have the CZL move and book databases.

As collections grow it's necessary to track them, to know what you have to avoid duplicates and know which you've seen or read. I use both Android and desktop versions of each, which easily sync over the cloud.

The custom fields are among the best features, you can add pretty much anything you want as text fields, check marks, etc. Their tech support is superb - not instant but definitely responsive and helpful.

So far I'm having a great time with it and expect to pay for the year after the 7 day trial period expires.

Adding films is very simple, the interface isn't too flashy or too dull, and very user friendly. I still have a ways to go in adding in my collection but I LOVE the ability to shake my phone and get a random selection. Game changer for "let's pick something random". There is a lot of great information in this book. The only thing s that bothered me were that the pages are very thin. Roughly, think about 1. As well as spiral bound so it's a very delicate book. The size is ok for me. But, how it's bound and the thin paper used leads me to feel that this book won't last as long as I had hoped. Hardcover, would be great and thicker paper would be a plus.

Otherwise, I would rate it 5 stars. Update: Finally, ended up ripping a page out accidentally. Happened while trying to prevent the book from falling off my lap. We buy these books every year hubby is a coin collector ; they're the best for carrying to auctions where internet service may be iffy or nonexistent. The pictures are clear and helpful, and prices are pretty current of course, he always does his due diligence before attending, but these books are especially helpful when something comes up that he's interested in but hasn't investigated beforehand.

This was advertised as the spiral, which is what we normally order, but it's a bit odd as it's a spiral with regular bound covers. The first we received was damaged--the cover was torn from the spiral inside--but the replacement was sent swiftly and I just had to take the book to the UPS store near me they packaged and shipped it I just had to give them a code Amazon sent me and the book.

It was easy to return, and I had a pristine, undamaged replacement within 2 days. I would order this again, but we will try to stick to the regular spiral rather than this odd hybrid.

It's a bit stiff and not as easy to keep open to the page he needs. It's a great book, though, and a must-have for collectors. Like the book very much. Didn't like the fact that it looked like it was very well used of was kicked down the hall at the warehouse. Amazon started with books. You would think they could tell the difference between exceptional and not so much. The most informative guide on coins that you can get. They do an amazing job. I am new to coin collecting, relatively speaking, and I love it.

I pre ordered this before it came out and when they shipped it, it still had some press shavings in it which is awesome because you know it just got printed!
